This conversation takes place in the coffee break between two working group discussions which are part of a larger assembly about mobility in Europe. The speakers, all academics from different European universities, discuss what they want to do after the official program of the day and where they want to go shopping. The speakers know each other from earlier occasions of this kind, so the atmosphere can be described as relaxed. As many people talk to each other during the coffee break, only individual threads of talk could be transcribed.

In the preceding event a subgroup discussed and evaluated the booklet that had been produced accompanying the individual projects. In this particular event the booklet is discussed with all participants of the meeting in order to give feedback and propose possible improvements. The speakers thus occasionally refer to pictures and translations in the booklet, e.g. fire, cheese, soup, meat, fish, stars, moon etc. S1 functions as the chair of the meeting, but his role is not always noticeable. A large part of the conversation takes place among S1, S5, S9 and occasionally S7.
