"This seminar discussion takes place during a course on European policy at an international summer school. S2, the teacher, and her students discuss European agricultural policy as the main topic in this session. They talk about the common agriculture policy (acronym: cap), subsidization and problems of overproduction. S2 guides the discussion and takes most of the speaking time. She is the one who assigns turns most of the time and asks questions. S8 is the student who seems to be most interested in the topic and is most active in the discussion, but several other students also participate. There are 19 people present altogether (excluding the two researchers). Occasionally there are noises of chairs moving about and background coughs, but unless these were uttered by the speakers or caused the speakers to pause, they have not been transcribed."@en .
